SUP Classes

Paddle board fitness is a way to use your paddle board to get exercise as an alternative to traditional exercising methods. There are a multitude of ways to get exercise or relax on your SUP besides just paddling. Our classes have limited availability. Pre-registration is required to guarantee your spot.

 SUP YOGA

Enjoy the gentle and therapeutic nature of a Yoga practice, coupled with the soothing effects of the water. Challenge your balance and engage the mind, body and spirit while floating into a world of rejuvenation and respite.

 

Beginners welcome! All poses and sequences can be modified to fit your experience level. Seriously! You don't have to stand if you don't want to.

What to expect:

Power Paddle

This is the class that will leave you feeling strong and empowered. We laugh, sweat and sometimes splash our way through this unique and FUN hour.

Previous paddling experience is recommended for this class.


What to expect:

This class is a combination of paddle technique coaching and core-centric exercises. In this small group setting you will rotate through intervals of both throughout the guided class and end with a relaxing stretch. Price includes all equipment. FLOATING MEDITATION

Meditation is a practice that develops concentration, which allows us to calm and steady the mind.  It is a natural remedy we all have at our disposal but sometimes knowing how to start is the hardest part. With the beauty of nature surrounding the class you will experience the peace a meditation practice can bring to your life. 

Beginners welcome! No previous experince is needed to participate. Come as you are, leave refreshed and rejuvinated. 

What to expect:

After leaving shore the class will join in a secluded section of the lake. Once anchored together we will relax the body with a few slow stretches and settle into a comfortable position on your board to begin the meditation. Price includes all equipment. SUPilates

What is SUPilates?
It is SUP (stand up paddle boarding) + Pilates which = a class your core won't forget!
Taught by Lisa Priebe, owner of Every Body Pilates, SUPilates is a combination of balance, strength, muscular and breath control on the water

 

Beginners welcome! All exercises and sequences can be modified to fit your experience level. 

What to expect:

You will launch from shore and paddle to class destination where you will anchor up for your class. You will practice the art of controlled movements while balancing on the SUP. Resistance bands and SUP paddle may also be utilized during the class. Price includes all equipment. Use your own equipment and receive discount using code "BYOB" at checkout.

SUP 101

Have you been wanting to learn how to stand up paddleboard? Did you buy a board but not sure you are "doing it right"? Do you wonder how to get back on your board or how to get faster? If so, this class is for you!

Beginners and newbies this is your class! We recommend everyone take a SUP 101 class to learn the proper way to paddle and also pick up essential water safety tips. 


What to expect:

This class teaches it all; how to measure and use your paddle, how to turn, stand up, self rescue and proper paddling technique. Expect to get wet, but also have fun and leave the lake empowered. Paddle & Play

Spend quality time with your little one while introducing them to the joy of the outdoors on a stand up paddle board. Children ride on the front of your board as you explore Blue Marsh Lake with the group.

Beginner friendly, no previous paddling experince is required. Class is intended for children ages 3+. More than one child may ride on board as long as combined weight of children does not exceed 100 lbs.


What to expect:

We will start on shore where you will be provided basic instruction. As a group we will  then paddle to a secluded cove where you can float & chat while your kids splash, play and maybe even try to paddle a bit with our kid sized paddles. Paddle instruction will be given throughout the hour class making this beginner friendly.
